The people of Second Story has given a new point of view to the architecture of the information in the web with the interface designed for the Digital Vaults project , that counts on a vestibule where National Archives of the United States is stored more than 1200 documents. The proposal of this experience consists of relating documents - as photographies, images of documents and digitalized texts- of ways that are not usual with the final mission to approach part of the archives and documentary patrimony of the National Archives through this virtual exhibition to a public for whom, surely, it would happen unnoticed otherwise.
The user can accede to documents, to sail by them using itself the pre-established routes and to often know the unusual relations that the events narrated by those documents and the personages who carry out them establish to each other. If the user is looking for an own experience, also he can choose a departure point soon to mix the memories in the main panel, conceived as a table, where he will have the opportunity to choose elements and to see the type of relation that exists among them.
The Web site also allows the users to use the visual memories, to even do posters derived from the images and visual compositions, simultaneously that allow to keep consulted documents virtually and to create own collections.
