For a television system of future according to a quality democracy
The Enrique Bustamante’s monographic The digital terrestrial television in Spain. For a television system of future according to a quality democracy has been published at the end of last March by the Fundación Alternativas.
The aimof this report is to analyze the challenges and consequences of the TDT in Spain, with hisindispensable international frame, in hiselements and structural deep keys according with the design of the dominant television of the predictable future in our country. In last instance, following, Raymond Williams, one of the founders of the political economy of the communication - and of the cultural studies, to the same time-, the TDT uses as significant button of sample how the technologies of the communication and the societies interact mutually, beyond the technical potentials of the first ones and of the hasty determinations of the second ones.
